a conceptual re-brand for a contemporary art institution in Cairo. The visual identity is based on the building’s notable architectural feature - the octagon. The rotated shape is bold, playful and dynamic to attract visitors to a rarely visited museum. The welcoming appeal is furthered by the vibrant peppermint green tone that compliments the building’s sandy brown hues.
a bespoke geometric typeface was generated to harmonise the two languages which extended onto an elongated numerical wayfinding system. slicing the octagon creates an arrow-like shape, guiding visitors around the space.
a printed publication was developed to support the re-brand and describe the design process.
